Victor Pumps S Series vs R Series: Everything You Need To Know

If you are looking for a centrifugal pump or an internal gear pump, then the chances are you will come across Victor Pumps. They are a leading manufacturer of industrial grade pumps and are well known for their versatility and reliability.

Victor Pumps have been designed to work perfectly for a range of applications, and it is their long and rich history in the industry which has equipped them with the knowledge to make such powerful equipment. The company started producing pumps in Italy back in 1948 and swiftly opened branches in Germany as well. Today, Victor Pumps are a blend of high-quality Italian products and reliable German technology.

Victor Pumps offer both their S Series and their R Series, and if you are wondering what the difference is and which one is right for your application, then you have come to the right place.

Victor Pumps S Series

The S Series is a selection self-priming centrifugal pumps which are recommended for use with abrasive or corrosive fluids. They feature an open impeller design which is ideal for handling larger solids. Because they are self-priming, the S Series Victor Pumps are able to prime and re-prime themselves in depths of up to 8 meters. These pumps are available in stainless steel, bronze or cast iron, and can even be supplied as hybrid versions with varying material combinations. The S Series also offers various drives including electric motors, hydraulic motors and engine driven options, depending on your unique requirements. Victor Pumps have designed the S Series to be ideal for a range of applications, including bulk fuel transfer, chemical processing and environmental protection.

Victor Pumps R Series

The R Series from Victor Pumps is a series of internal gear pumps and have been designed for use with liquids of any viscosity. They are also suitable for non-lubricating fluids and fluids containing solids or abrasive particles. These pumps are available in either stainless steel or cast iron and additional features include relief valves and heating jackets. R Series pumps can be supplied with a packed gland or with a mechanical seal mounted single, other options are double in tandem, single with quench or magnetic coupling. With so many customisation options, the R Series Victor Pumps can be adapted to suit almost any gear pump requirements.
